The small SUV is a hot market to be in these days. Everybody including the least likely of manufactures are clambering to be in this market. The newest of these to manufacturers is Tesla. We have heard that they were planning on making the Model Y, but we finally have it.
First, lets talk about its capabilities. The quickest version of the Model Y will be able to go from 0-60 in just 3.5 seconds, thanks to a dual-electric motor. The longest range you can get will be 300 miles, but with Tesla's Supercharger stations, you can charge the batteries to have 168 miles in just 15 minutes. As standard, this car will come in RWD and will allow for 230 miles on the battery. However, there are options for Long Range RWD, Long Range AWD, and Performance as well. Each of these vary in range, 0-60 times, top speeds, and what wheels come with the vehicle.
The new Tesla Model Y is essentially the Model 3, but a bit larger. The Model Y will share roughly 75 percent of its parts with the Model 3, and will be priced just slightly higher as well. Fairly "basic" interior. A 15" touchscreen display will sit in the middle of the dash and provide all of the cars functions. The Model Y also has the option to have "Full Self-Driving Capability". If you don't go for that, you can always get the standard Autopilot option.
The Model Y will go into production in the fall of 2020. If you would like to pre-order yours, you an do so on Tesla's website.
