Five Recalls For Ford
Recalls seem to be a pretty common thing these days. All manufactures make mistakes. The good thing is that Ford is getting on top of the issue before anything bad happens. Ford announced two separate safety recalls and a safety compliance recall on five different models. Here is the list.

1.
Years: 2011-2013
Car: Ford F-150
Issue: In vehicles fitted with the six-speed automatic transmission, the vehicle may experience an intermittent loss of the transmission output speed sensor signal to the powertrain control module. Not good. This can cause the vehicle to unexpectedly and unintentionally downshift.
Fix: Dealers will replace the powertrain control module.

2.
Years: 2017-2019
Car: Lincoln Continental
Issue: Door latch can malfunction and not engage due to a buildup of silicone contamination. Also, it is possible that the doors could open while the vehicle is moving, not just when you open and close the door.
Fix: Dealers will replace the door latches.

3.
Year: 2019
Car: Ford Mustang
Issue: Instrument panels can be blank upon vehicle startup.
Fix: Dealer will perform a software update.
Easy enough.

4. and 5.
Year: 2019
Vehicles: Lincoln Navigator and Lincoln Nautilus
Issue: Instrument panels can be blank upon vehicle startup.
Fix: Dealer will perform a software update.
Three separate issues on five vehicles. Not a great day for Ford, but at least it isn't an emissions issue. Those seem to be a bit more costly to a company.
